I removed the shelves and put my embroidery unit inside instead. I also purchased 2 elements drawer units and am putting wooden bases in the drawers with dowels for my thread. Then I can chop and change in the future. I My Stabiliser rolls and other notions will fit too. The only downside was the 3mm difference in height, but that has been overcome by putting a piece of old shelving under the base of both drawer units making them all match beautifully. I even have 2 cutting mats which fit on top perfectly, so I am a very happy bunny.

The Super Q is a lovely sewing table. It’s very well made and spacious I bought mine in white. Love the riser for the machine it’s very easy to use and one of my two Perspex covers fitted well. Opening up the back part of the table is very stable and gives me more fabric space. Unfortunately as with another of my reviews for the five draw storage unit I found they are not compatible which, has disappointed me immensely. There is a difference in height which cannot be altered.
I ordered the above table direct from Horn. I received it within 2 weeks of ordering. Communication between me and the company was excellent as was Jeff who delivered to me. He took his time to make sure everything was perfect for my own sewing machine before he left.
I’ve now had a chance to use it and I’m so happy. With the machine at the lower level with the made to measure infil i find my shoulders are relaxed and not up round my ears and I’m looking down onto my stitching rather than looking up which is tricky with variofocal glasses. Also I can move it myself on my carpet even though I’m not too young!

I absolutely love my cabinet. Everything is close to hand and so easy to open out and then put away. Jeff delivered it for me and took it upstairs. He unpacked it and put the casters on etc. He was great. He rang me to let me know he was on his way and showed me what to do and put my machine in place for me. Fantastic company. Fantastic product. Thanks for your email. Unfortunately the Brother Luminaire XP3 is a huge sewing machine and too big for Super Q MK2. Due to the size and weight of this kind of sewing machine we’ve now created a new size of opening called our Super Maxi size which measures a whopping 78cm by 37cm. This new size of opening is accompanied with our new super maxi size electric lifter designed to cope with these larger, heavier sewing machines. If you take a look at our website you’ll be able to see the new 860 Modular cabinet which is the first cabinet that we’ve introduced with this new size opening and lifter with this cabinet we’ve still managed to make it in a relatively compact size so effectively getting the very largest sewing machines into the smaller space possible. Should you have any space left after fitting in the 860 then there are 2 other new pieces that are designed to accompany and match in with the 860 called the Overlocker caddy and a 5 drawer unit. These offer the ability to add more surface area or storage, depending on your needs, to your enhance your sewing area further.
